not that I have found using the stock firmware.  I will never buy a netgear product again.  This unit was the flag ship.. little to no support as far as I can tell....

If there is still no idea of when a stable build will be released for the r8000, could we possibly try a Beta? Alpha? Has Netgear made it to the Beta stage of this upcoming firmware release yet?

I understand this is something that may be annoying you as it has been asked over and over for more than 1 year now, but please help us get this feature or at least get us a workaround until it is released. This is one of the reasons I purchased the product to begin with and now have to resort to forwarding ports to the internet which I would rather not do considering I have a VPN capable router!

Please let us know ASAP.

It's a new year, any plans for this feature? Or is it never going to happen? Please say so honestly if that's the case.

I feel so incredibly disappointed at this purchase. This was the feature I coveted. I first looked at the R7000, but decided to invest more since it's a product I rarely need to buy. Then the expensive and supposedly more advanced model does not have the feature that was the deciding factor for me. I could completely understand if there was a technical reason that it couldn't be implemented, but the answers on this thread suggest that implementing the feature is just something Netgear doesn't want to put development resources towards. There was zero indication before I purchased it that the VPN can't be set up for iOS. I honestly do feel like I was screwed out of my money.

Fcmk has same story as mine. I thought R7000 is great after buying one for my sister and my girlfriend , so I decided to invest more. Sadly, one of the most important feature is unbelievably missing in a higher model. This is ridiculous .
Dear James, could you pls tell us the truth if there will be VPN service for IOS on R8000? I ve waited for more than a year. Thanks for your attention.
