I have C6220, ISP is Comcast, package is 200Mbps. Firmware is the latest for Comcast, V1.02.11. Speedtest is used for speed measurement, both app and web site. Wired connection provides around 230 Mbps, similar with 5 GHz wireless. However, at 2.4GHz, no matter which channel (1-11) is selected speed hardly gets over 90 Mbps on most devices and with some phones not over 50 Mbps, even when they are 3-5 feet from C6220. Tried to put C6220 in 3 different locations, one od them outside, but nothing changed. Am I expecting too much from 2.4GHz?

Possible, as @plemans explains.
It might also be worth a bit of background reading.
Understand Wi-Fi 4/5/6 (802.11 n/ac/ad/ax)
@duckware knows their stuff and can bust a few myths and cut through marketing hype.

Re: Issue with C6220 at 2.4GHz
Yes you are.
2.4ghz is much much slower than 5ghz. Hitting 50+mbps over 2.4ghz is actually considered fast for that band. Many devices average around 20-30mbps. Its not ideal for streaming/gaming because of the slow speeds and how its more sensitive to interference.
