I want to update my router.
the instructions say log in and click on your image of your product.
I'm not in a dashboard when I log in. I see no dashboard on the page I've been logged into.
I don't see where to go to get to my nighthawk 7800 to update.
why am I not seeing these things?

Greetings,
First step:
Connect a PC to the router directly via ethernet.
Open a browser:
https://www.netgear.com/support/product/R7800.aspx#
Open a second tab and type either
192.168.1.1 or http://routerlogin.net
Log into the router using your credentials. The current FW version the router is running will be displayed in the upper right-hand corner.
Now return to the tab where the support page is open and decide what FW version you want to update to.
Download this file and save to your desktop. Unzip it.
Return to the tab where you have the router's admin page open:
Select ADVANCED > Administration > Router Update
Click Choose File or Browse.
Locate and highlight the saved firmware on your desktop and click Open > Upload.
Wait the the update process to complete.
While you are there, I would suggest disabling the Router Auto Firmware update option.
Using any other method to update your FW is asking for trouble.
