Lost 5Ghz Networks

Hi all. The above model running is running firmware V1.0.4.74_10.1.80

Sometime in the last few days or weeks we have lost our two 5Ghz wifi bands i.e. we cannot see them in available networks. The router lights show all three networks as working and transmitting data but the Nighthawk app can only see the 2.4GHz network as can the router page on my PC (no other device can pick up the 5GHz networks either).

Turning off and on has not made them discoverable either. The Broadcast name for the two 5GHz networks are both set on.

Can anyone help point to some troubleshooting tips or has anyone come across this before?

Thanks.

Re: Lost 5Ghz Networks

Are you using smart connect?

Smart connect combines all 3 bands into 1 band. And unless you're using more than a standard wifi scanner, it won't show them as seperate.

Re: Lost 5Ghz Networks

Hi @plemans, yes that appears to be the case (although I don't recall switching this on). Having turned it off I can now see all three networks again.

Many thanks for your help,
