MK62 - won't connect to the internet

Alright, so I recently upgraded to Fiber optic internet. I currently have the nighthawk AC1900 (R7000) but the walls in my house were killing the signal upstairs. I purchased the MK62 mesh wifi6 system and the light on the router stays the amber color, indicating that it can't connect to the internet. I reset my modem multiple times, and even plugged in the old router to make sure the internet was working and it is. Any clue what to do? I was told a lot of mesh networks won't work with Fiber optic, is there any truth to that?

the gateway is a modem/router combo device.
having 2 devices on the network in router mode causes a doube nat.

options to fix? (only use 1)
1. put the gigacenter in modem only/passthrough/bridge mode. Whatever your specific isp calls it
2. put the netgears ip address into the gigacenters DMZ
3. Put the netgear in access point mode.
