Mesh/wifi 6
I have yet to buy any product (although nighthawk M60 interests me). This is because I can find no answers to the most basic issues on NETGEAR website.
In the uk, most isp’s thrust an allegedly free connection device on you. This helps keep you locked in with them. In my case it’s bt and hub6. This is a combined modem and router with Wi-fi stuck on. I think you can switch the Wi-fi off, so we’ll forget about that.
My first issue is connecting said nighthawk to hub6. I need hub6 for its modem. I cannot separate the modem from the router. Can I just Ethernet cable connect from hub6 to nighthawk M60? I appreciate that both have router functionality. I don’t give a fig about the router bit, I WANT Wi-fi6. I don’t need the router hurdle. Perhaps I need a different nighthawk product WITHOUT a router??
Thank you
NigelD

Re: Mesh/wifi 6
Or you simply put the netgear in access point mode. That disables the routing functions.
