Microsoft Remote Access through NightHawk R7450 AC2600

I have 80 mbps upload/download speed. Outside my router I can remote access to work.  When connected to the WiFi it gives a connection error.  Is there an enable/disable on the router for remote access that I'm not seeing?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

You can enable remote access using the NG app. Do note that that way you'll be more suspectible to hack attempts to your router.

Can you explain a bit more about what you mean by this?

Are you talking about what Netgear now calls Anywhere Access?

How do I enable or disable Anywhere Access on my router using the Nighthawk app? | Answer | NETGEAR ...

Or are you looking for advice on Microsoft's Remote Desktop?

I can remote desktop into work outside of the router.  When on the WiFi or connected to the port with ethernet I can connect my sonicwall mobile App but the microsoft remote desktop gives me an errorcode:   0x204.  Any suggestions?  Thanks
