You DO NOT tell the router to do that, you tell the Laptop what SSID to connect to. Obviously you do not set both SSID's to the name.

This came up here not long ago. On investigation, the owner of the laptop found that their PC did not actually support 5G.

My Dell laptop does support 2.4 and 5GHZ and the router does too. I just wasn't sure how to tell if and when 5GHZ was being used.
