Modem Router combo boxes and double NAT

I have a TP-link modem and a Netgear R6120 AC1200 router now. I can't seem to solve my kid's Xbox "double NAT" (TP-link doesn't seem to want to do a bridge mode and R6120's VLAN/port solution seems complicated. So I was going to buy a modem/router combo to solve the issue. Can some Netgear rep definitively tell me that any Netgear modem/WiFi router (like C6220, etc) will be guaranteed not to give a "double NAT" issue? I see some info on the web to the contrary but why would I even buy a Netgear combo box then? This was going to be my solution.

A new thread with no new information is not a big step forward.

No idea what that means.  "TP-link" is a corporation, not a gizmo.

Re: Modem Router combo boxes and double NAT

The parallel thread was just asking the original poster if he solved his problem. This thread was trying to ask Netgear for an official answer. I assume they read these (?). I assume you are not a Netgear Rep or if you are you would need some training. Not providing any answers is not a big step forward for anyone either. TP-Link makes modems yes. The one I have is a TC-7610. What I have currently is not the issue. I am willing to buy something new. My question is "Will a Netgear Combo Modem/router box *never* give me a double NAT if I plug into the wall cable and XBOX is off of the same combo box WiFi router. Please let someone who knows that answer. Thx.

If you want "an official answer" from Netgear, then a user forum may
not be the best place to look.

That would be a deficiency, if it were the case.

Whew.  Not so hard, was it?

It could have been, if it had been a modem+router, not a simple
modem.  With my weak psychic powers and no model number, that was not
obvious.

   Did you?

You can, if your (unspecified) ISP uses carrier-grade NAT. [...]

Which part of that was unclear?

Rather than annoy you with further examples of my ignorance and bad
attitude, I'll just suggest that that was already asked and answered.
