My Netgear Nighthawk C7800 if not up to date on firmware
My Nighthawk App Won't Work Because It Says My Firmware Is Out Of Date And To Log Onto The Netgear Link To Update It.... when I Do That I Don't See Where To Update It...how Do I Update The Firmware On My Nighthawk C7800?.?

As an end user, you cannot update the firmware on a combination modem/router device. You have to work with your ISP to have them update the firmware. Who is your ISP? Some have a better record than others for updating the firmware on the combination devices.

That message probably has nothing to do with the modem/router not working.
@Kitsap is right in saying that you can't update the firmware. The trouble is that last year Netgear released a broken iOS app that threw up that meaningless message.

You just have to ignore it.
I'd look for other ways of fixing your "won't work" issue. What problem do you have beyond that message?
