I wanted to set up my router for a Mixing board. I went to the settings on browser and updated the Mixer for the LAN IP address 10.10.2.1
The video I watched further stated to change the DHCP starting IP address to a number similar to 10.10.2.5 to avoid conflicts.... anyway I did that. The thing is there are only 4 LAN slots so maybe this is the problem.....
When rebooting the router there is now NO LAN settings. If I choose to set the LAN settings the screen refreshes without the LAN and the LAN is greyed out in the wireless window.
If I plug my computer into the LAN- it will work but it’s not the original settings :
10.10.2.1 through 4 I assume.
Anyway I tried factory reset (I think that only resets the PW). I spent hours. No idea what to do now.

Not a very detailed desription of that device.
Why would you not want to set up your (unspecified) "a Mixing board" to work with the router (with its default settings)? How much extra work are you trying to make for yourself? If you have some actual reason, please reveal it.

_Whose_ "the settings"? The settings of your (unspecified) "the Mixer"?
Why the odd-ball IP address(es)? You can pick any "10.a.b.*" range you want, but why not the defaults?
How did you choose that address? What's the LAN IP address of the R7000? I'd expect the router to be at ".1", which would make that a very bad choice for any client device.

If _you_ are handing out (static) addresses (like ".2", ".3", and so on) to some of your client devices, then you should not leave those addresses in your router's DHCP pool, so that it will think that it can also hand out those same addresses to (other) DHCP client devices.

No. There's no required correlation between the number printed near any of those connectors and the IP address of any connected device. (Especially not for "1", which you probably shouldn't be using as an address.)

I don't know what that means. As usual, showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or interpretations.

Think again. Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read. Look for "Factory Settings". Further reading might not hurt, either.

Start again, and reconfigure your router. You might want to reset the network parameters of your (unspecified) "a Mixing board", too, before connecting it to your router.

In a nutshell this screen ( I took a screenshot before making changes. The Mixer is a Soundesign ui24r. That is meaningless info. All I needed to do was get the LAN IP address from router and config the mixer to that address.. the address was 10.0.0.1 (see picture). The instruction video ( also meaningless ) said to avoid conflicts change the starting IP address to something higher to avoid conflict. Again that is the REASON and the ONLY thing I changed on the router. I changed that to 10.0.0.5 ( highlighted part).
I was incorrect in my original (the mixer was 10.10.2.1) post.
Anyway in a nutshell I changed the Starting IP address on the DHCP server to 10.0.0.5
Now I have no access to LAN settings ( the screen in picture). That is the issue. It’s gone. Reset button did not bring it back.

I did do a reset -pushed Reset Pin in for 30 seconds, let router reboot. Unfortunately, the LAN options are still not available. When I went to “advanced” then chose “LAN Settings” I was able to look at the screen I uploaded and config it if needed.
That option is no longer available because when I click it the screen refreshes and does not go to the page to adjust LAN but displays a status page for - Wireless, Internet, USB, Parental controls. It does not display the LAN settings as before.
This router will not need to connect to the Internet. It is merely a wireless router to control the mixer and let band members connect wirelessly to adjust their monitors. The internal wireless router is usable but on a stage would sit down too low to be effective - the external router is recommended so it can be placed in a better line of sight for the devices. It will not have an internet connection.
I apologize for saying I “Think” it only resets passwords for access - but I drew the conclusion that it kept the news firmware, made me redo passwords and did NOT bring back the LAN settings adjustment screen.
It is pretty annoying and it is frustrating.
It ONLY comes down to this regardless of what application I was trying to do as I never continued the mixer connection:

Ah, that's alien territory to me. Netgear designed the R7000 to be a router for people connected to the Internet. I doubt if they considered your scenario.
You may be trying to use it for something that it is not designed for. So there's not much that Netgear, or anyone else, can do to repurpose the R7000.
You might get better help in a group that helps bands to manage their technology. There is thing special about the R7000. Any advice you can get on any router might well carry over to your device.

No, I believe it can serve as a router as well as a WAN modem. The only difference is I won’t be plugging an internet connection in. It should still let me connect wirelessly to the network.
It’s a simple protocol it’s just that the LAN info disappeared. Haha. It’s crazy.

Still a mystery. The fact that the router's LAN IP address is "10.0.0.1" suggests that you've connected its WAN/Internet port to some other (unspecified) router. Cascading multiple routers can cause multiple problems.

_What_, exactly, did you change where? Did you configure that as a static address _on_ your mixer, or did you configure a "Reserved Address" for your mixer _on_ the R7000?

Ok. Your picture doesn't show that. It's still ".2" - ".254" there.

How, exactly, would that avoid a conflict? If you configured "10.0.0.5" as a "Reserved Address" for your mixer _on_ the R7000, then there's no problem (and you didn't need to change the DHCP pool limits).
If you configured "10.0.0.5" as a static address _on_ your mixer, and you left "10.0.0.5" in the DHCP pool, then there's (still) a potential conflict. To avoid a conflict with "10.0.0.5", the pool "Starting IP Address" would need to be at least "10.0.0.6".

Where did you look for it? It's not the default screen. Did you try clicking on ADVANCED > Setup > LAN Setup?

"V1.0.4.30_1.1.67" is so old that I can't be sure what's true there. On any recent firmware cersion, I'd expect ADVANCED > Setup > LAN Setup to be the path. As explained in the R7000 User Manual.

Ok, but, as explained above, it does seem to be connected to something now. It might help if you explained what you actually intend to do, rather than trying to hide as much detail as possible, confusing everyone.

I doubt that that change made the difference. A much newer firmware version might have moved the LAN Setup page to a different place.

Some of us don't get out much. People do this frequently. The biggest problem normally is that the router expects to set its date+time from a network NTP server, and it can't talk to one if its WAN/Internet connection is missing.

The question again is this.
If I go into the router config page advanced settings and choose to change the starting IP address will it make the LAN config page go away? It did. That is all I did.
The support page for the router had that version of firmware as the most recent.

If you actually want help, then you might want to consider providing a better problem description. Sadly, that might include answering basic questions about what you're doing, and what happens when you do it. For example, a good start would be:

This must be some new meaning for "all". What happened to that "Latest version" claim in your original message? "V1.0.4.30_1.1.67" certainly is not even close to any "Latest version" for an R7000.
What do you think that "A router firmware upgrade is available." (as in your picture) means?

_Which_ "The support page for" _which_ "the router" said that _which_ version was "the most recent"? Look for "Model" on the product label.
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look for Downloads. (For older versions, under Firmware and Software Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".) Find the kit(s). Download the kit(s) you want. Read the "Release Notes" file for instructions. (In the User Manual, look for "firmware", and, especially, for a topic like "Manually Upload Firmware to the Router".) When that fails because of a deficient User Manual, try:

With my weak psychic powers, I certainly don't know what you're seeing or doing. What you're saying/writing makes very little sense, and you seem unwilling/unable to answer simple questions about basic facts. Until that changes, I'll look for more productive ways to spend my time.
