How do I reset my password. It asks me my 2 questions. I submit my answers. They say they are wrong. Note: I know when I graduated from high school and I know my Dad's middle name. Somehow the file is corrupt. What can I do?

Wire connect a PC to the router and factory reset the router using the back push pin button. Hold it in for 10 seconds then let go. Then log in to 192.168.1.1 using a web browser and walk thru the setup wizard. This time write down all important information for safe keeping later on.

Re: NETGEAR Nighthawk X4S Smart WiFi Router (R7800) - Reset Password
Problem with password recovery is that even if you didn't set it up, it still asks the questions but there isn't a correct answer.
so in those situations where either it wasn't setup or you dont' have the correct answers, then you'd need to follow @FURRYe38 advice and factory reset to get back in.

Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
