NETGEAR Wi-Fi Range Extender EX6120

My EX610 Dual band WiFi range extender gets hot and drops the connection. Any suggestions. Got this one in June. Been doing it since the first week. I am Ready to buy a different one. Suggestions please.

Please give host wifi router brand and model# information.

Also please give distances between host wifi router and extender. 

FW version used on the extender.
