Need help to manually install firmware

I tried updating my firmware via a PC browser and it failed.

Now the power light is blinking slowliy and the router is not working.

I have tried searching the netgear website and community and cannot find a totorial on how to connect a PC to the router in order to install the firmware update.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

One thing to try before you go down the TFTP road as suggested by @microchip8 :

• Press reset for 30 seconds
• Keep pressing reset while removing power
• Keep pressing reset for another 30 seconds while apply power

There's a faint chance that this will get you into "recovery mode" and can then use the conventional method to upgrade the firmware.

If that fails, then TFTP it is.

Thank you @microchip8 microchip8 and @michaelkenward I have tried holding the power button as @michaelkenward suggested which did not work.

I will try the TFTP method and report back.

That reset rarely works for a device that has had a real meltdown in the firmware.
