Netgear 7900P Router Won't find one website

I was on a website and actually the webmaster for this site  for many months on this router in my home.    Suddenly, this website  won't load through my Router to any wifi  device or laptop.    No one else in other locations is having this issue - and my devices connect in other wifi/internet environments to this site.   I can also load the site through mobile wireless and hotspots at home.

I tried re-setting the router and the modem - no luck.

The ISP is Spectrum and this ISP works fine in other offices with wifi with all of my devices.

Other diagnostic testing:
Ping testing through the router shows a time-out.
I have done a hardwire connection to the router - no luck loading the site.
I have also done a hardwire connect directly to the cable modem and the site pings and loads fine which suggests the router is the issue.    There are no parental control and no blocks on the router.

Does anyone have any ideas how to correct this?

Duckware,

This worked.     My public IP changed and I'm back on the website, so I was definitely blocked by the hosting service.    Thank you  for the input and GREAT TECHNICAL HELP!!!!

Where, exactly, is "this website" running?  "won't" is not a useful
problem description.  It does not say what you did.  It does not say
what happened when you did it.  As usual, showing actual actions with
their actual results (error messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more
helpful than vague descriptions or interpretations.

Where is your test browser running?  What are you using as a URL?
Name or IP address?  What is the actual error message?

> [...] No one else in other locations is having this issue [...]

What is the URL which works from the outside world?  Name or IP
address?  If name, then to what IP address is it resolved?  What is the
WAN/Internet IP address of the router?

> [...] I tried re-setting the router and the modem [...]

What is your "the modem"?  Modem or modem+router?

> Ping testing through the router shows a time-out.

"Ping testing" from where to where?  Actual command?  See "As usual,
[...]", above.

> [...] I have also done a hardwire connect directly to the cable modem

> issue.

Again, this non-description conveys no useful information.  See "As
usual, [...]", above.

Without some actual information on what you're doing, and what
happens when you do it, there's not much I can suggest.

Re: Netgear 7900P Router Won't find one website

Ok, here are some more specifics:

Won't load =  Get a response "Can't Reach this Page"

Website in question:    www.sandangelfoundation.org

If you read carefully, this is happening across multiple devices (and multiple browsers) - the website loads in other sites in this , even with the same ISP.   It is not specific to device or browser.

Modem is an Arris Surfboard 6141 and Router is 7900P Nighthawk 6S, which is connected to the Arris via hard cable

I simply tried pinging www.sandangelfoundation.org through the router (both wireless and hardcable) and then through the model.   Through the router, timed out both ways.

Re: Netgear 7900P Router Won't find one website

When you ping, do you get an IP address?  When you traceroute to the site, does it go past your router?  Can you connect wirelessly to your smartphone hotspot and everything works?  I assume you did not play around with the local 'hosts' file (adding an entry for that site)?

I had this happen once to my own site and it was because I did something (unknown; but I assume too many connects in a short period of time) that triggered a firewall rule at the hosting company -- which then blocked my ip address.

Try changing your public ip address.  Do this by changing the WAN MAC address (in the router) from default router mac address to the mac address of your PC ethernet, and then reboot modem and router.  Most of the time, this causes a new public ip address.  Google "what is my ip address" will tell you.  Do this before and after to confirm it changed.

Help?

Re: Netgear 7900P Router Won't find one website

No IP Address through router when I ping

On a tracert, I've attached this - but it does go past my router.

Works fine on wireless or hotspot.    Did not play with local hosts file.

You may well be right on the Hosting Service blocking my public IP, which I assume is related to my router IP address?      I was making multiple changes to the website the last several days.    The site disconnected when I was making changes to the website in the backend due to some error and then I couldn't get it to load again.

Can you provide step x step instructions to reset the WAN MAC address on the router since  I've never done this before.

What, exactly, does that mean to you?  See "As usual, [...]", above.

Re: Netgear 7900P Router Won't find one website

Thanks.    Not an expert on networks/networkd devices.    How do I choose  a new MAC address?    This network has multiple laptops and devices attached to it, so it is pretty clear I shouldn't use the MAC from one laptop.

Re: Netgear 7900P Router Won't find one website

yes, use the mac address from any computer in your network.  'Cloning' an internal mac address to the WAN port on the router is accepted thing to do (modem 'thinks' you are then plugging that device into it).

Re: Netgear 7900P Router Won't find one website

Thanks Duckware!   Very helpful!!!     Just triple-checking - I assume cloning the laptop MAC  will still allow any other devices or computers on the network to still go through the router  and modem?    Sorry if this is an ignorant question, but I'm not a network jock.
