Netgear Night Hawk R8000 erratic behaviour
Dear All,
I just purchased from Amazon a refurbished Netgear AC3200 R8000. I chosed this unit to perform parental control on the internet children usage.
I configured and everything seemed find. On the second day the Circle Application started behaving in an erratic way sending the following messages:
"Could not connect to the server."
"An SSL error has occurred and a secure connection cannot be made"
After retrying several times, I can still save the settings.
Also the administrative interface keeps disappering and I have to reset the router to gain access again.
Have any of you experieced something similar ? Should I return this unit as faulty ?
Regards,
Davide

Did you ever get circle working? Did you try to use a different web browser?

Re: Netgear Night Hawk R8000 erratic behaviour
Thanks for the answer. Yes I could confugure and it actually works. It's the interface that from time to time does not connect. I tried different browsers.
Circle worked for some days without issue and yesterday evening again the application started giving connection errors.
I need to understand if there is an hardware issue. Is there a log I can look at ? Is Circle connecting directly to the router, or it is using an external server to configure the policies ?
Regards,
Davide
