Netgear Night Hawk

Has any one tryed and SSD in a drive enclouser with the R 8000 . The unit will power from the usb on the router  . I had a smaller usb Seagate expansion drive that worked with no issues but want to upscale to larger capicity and  speed and not sure if the router will power it .

Re: Netgear Night Hawk

Hi lowman,

The KB article below is the list of the drive that has been tested to work with the router. If it is not on the list, you may try it but it may or may not work. For higher capacity drives, it may need to have its own power adapter since the router will not be able to provide enough power for the drive to work.
