I have a Netgear Nighthawk R6900 (the model Costco sold) with the latest firmware version available (V1.0.2.8_10.0.38), and I've always had an issue with the WPS settings.
There is a checkbox labeled "Enable Router's PIN", but unchecking it and hitting Apply, the setting doesn't stick. I don't get why there is a checkbox to disable it if it doesn't work, am I missing something? I've attached a screenshot to this post as an attachment.
WPS is a serious security concern and not being able to disable it completely is a major design oversight, if that's the case.
