Netgear Nighthawk R7000 firmware update

Is it a problem that I updated firmware directly to the router rather than to my pc.  When initially setting it up, I saw a firmware update was available and initiated the update but later saw it is advisable to download it to pc and then upload it to the router.  Can I leave it or is there something I should do?  Thanks, Ray @ bchmn@msn.com

Re: Netgear Nighthawk R7000 firmware update

you can update the firmware when the router reports there's a new version. On the Firmware Update page there's a button for that. You can also download and unzip the firmware the load it up. I strongly recommend doing firmware updates with a wired PC and not some phone app over wifi

If it running okay after the update then you don’t need to do anything else. The only thing I would suggest would be to turn off automatic updates if it got turned on by the update you installed.
