Netgear Nighthawk R8000 v R800P? Any Difference?
Hi.
I currently have the Netgear AC3200 R8000 Nighthawk Router. A friend is selling his Netgear AC4000 R8000P Nighthawk router and upgrading to something else. My question: I I got the R8000P router in place of my R8000 nighthawk, would I notice any "big" differences? In other words - Is it worth my time to swtich? Or are both routers pretty equal?
Thanks for any advice.

Re: Netgear Nighthawk R8000 v R800P? Any Difference?
the R8000P has a little faster 5ghz but for most devices, the limits on speed isn't the router, its on the device you're using. A 4x4 antenna router is still only going to connect at 1x1 or 2x2 speeds for most laptops, phones, tablets because thats the wireless chip they have.
So will you see an increased speed? maybe a little but its not worth it unless the router's free.
