I started my desktop computer this morning. It is hardwired to my router when i went to login I noticed the network connector had the red x on it. I thought that was odd, but continued the loging, sure enough I can't access the internet. I tried running the troubleshooter, which told me that my ethernet cable was bad or disconnected. Which also seems odd as I just used the internet on this computer a few days ago. I tried swtiching out the cable with a new one I had, but this didn't help the problem. I've tried restarting the computer multiple times and that doesn't help either. My wireless internet works fine, but there's definitely something wrong with hardwired connection. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a fool. I had the network cable plugged into the wrong port on my desktop. Sorry for wasting everyone's time.
