Re: Netgear R7000 not getting full internet speed
What isp gateway is it?
What firmware is on the R7000?
Since the service upgrade, did you ever try a factory reset and reinstall of the r7000?

Re: Netgear R7000 not getting full internet speed
What "the latest" verison do you have? We ask for a reason and the R7000 isn't known for the best firmware or for even "on the latest" when people say it is.
And what gateway/modem do you have? I didn't need who you're isp is, I needed what gateway model it is

Re: Netgear R7000 not getting full internet speed
1. You're not on the latest. The R7000's latest is 1.0.11.110. The agreed upon fastest/stablest is 1.0.9.42. I'd try upgrading over a hardwired connection, doing a factory reset, and then a clean install. If that doesn't help, then I'd try the same process with the older firmware. https://www.netgear.com/support/product/r7000.aspx
2. Your modem isn't just a modem. Its a modem/router combo device. it causes a double nat. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
Fixes for that? 1. put the speedport in modem/only passthrough mode. Or you could put the r7000 in access point mode. That would leave only 1 device running routing.

Re: Netgear R7000 not getting full internet speed
While you evaluate all the other good advice here, you should also carefully read the fine print of the service offered by your Internet Service Provider. It's possible that their fastest advertised speed *might* only be available via a hardware based accelerator that runs only on the wifi router they provided, and via a wired connection. For example, that's the case with my Spectrum service. I forget what it's called, but the fasted available speed only happens when connected to my Spectrum provided router.

Re: Netgear R7000 not getting full internet speed
If the wan port is only negotiating a 100mbps link, that'll be the limiting factor.
Things that can cause it:
1. the modem/gateways port/setup
2. the cable
3. the R7000's port
so try swapping to a cat 5e or > cable.
You can also try mirroring the wan port. The r7000 has the option to mirror the wan port to the lan port 1.
Go to its ipaddress/debug.htm so if you're address on the r7000 is 192.168.1.1 then you'd go to 192.168.1.1/debug.htm
Then you should be able to mirror the port.
I'd also check into the double nat issue I mentioned prior with the speedport 3.
