Netgear Wifi routers and time sync issue behind AT&T Gigiapower modem

I can reporduce issuse on all models.  R8500, R8000 and R7000.  If you put AT&T gigiapower modem in DMZPlus mode to forward all traffic to your netgear router it will block NTP UDP port.  AT&T published that article saying that they will block time sync.

What do we do if we want to use DMZPlus on new routers?  Thanks to @JamesGLas he helped me to work with Netgear support and they did provided me special firmware for R8000 and R7000 but know I need the custom firmware for R8500.

There should be a way the you could use a gps signal to time lock a netgear router

You can't change anything for time configuration on the router other than timezone.

I know you are out luck when the able to set a simple time and date server chance as standard feature is not allow in the firmware why made were behind a curtain type of modem would add a feature that cause's problems. Even a way of using gps device would give you time and date and it could made into the router.
