Netgear ac1750 / R6400v2 the power LED will flash red once

Hello, I got a netgear AC1750 / R6400v2 router from a friend that was only behind him. After trying to start, I noticed that there was no reaction except the power LED blinking red (only once, about a second, then it goes out completely). This happens when the power supply is connected to the socket, the router is on "on" and then I connect the router. Otherwise, the LED will not even flash. The motherboard does not look burnt and the harnesses look fine. The power supply is checked and in addition the router on another power supply behaves the same. What could be the reason? Is there a chance to fix it?

Have you tried a simple factory reset?

Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while its powered on?

Either it seemed to me or the power diode went green after turning it off and on (poc30 / 30/30). Turning on again red.

Last ditch? Try tftp and nmrpflash.

are you on windows? if so, follow this guide

https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP

just make sure you enable tftp

https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10

and here's a video walk through.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash

when trying to tftp "connect request failed", in turn, when I run nmrpflash on Linux, it does not detect the eth router

in turn, when I run nmrpflash on Linux, it does not detect the eth router "no response after 60second. Bailing out."

If you can't ping it, can't get it into recovery mode, you might be SOL.

Am I to understand there is no hope for him anymore?

Unless you're comfortable soldering a serial port onto it but thats probably not worth the effort.

And it'd only help if it was a firmware issue and not a hardware failure issue.
