Netgear genie doesn't shown attached usb drive in My Media on android device - Nighthawk D7000

I have attached a Seagate 1Tb drive to my D7000. The usb light on the modem/router is on and if I logon to the router via a web browser from my Android tablet, I can see the drive is attached.  If I access the drive through the browser by typing in the IP address with /share, I can access the photos stored on the drive. 

However, when I use the Android version of Genie, the usb drive is not visible in My Media.  I have updated the D7000 firmware and obtained the lastest Genie app from the App Store.

Any ideas on what is causing the problem?

I tested with mine and had the same problem as you did I deleted the drive from readyshare then readded the drive and game it a different name then I was able to see it on the android app.

Thanks DarrenM. I'll give that a go.  I presume you did what you said via the browser view of the modem/router?  At present i have the hard disk attached to my PC and by pointer to the various folders, i an access the files from the Android genie app.  Not what i wanted but a step in the right direction.  As a matter of interest, was the number of files on your hard disk small (eg less than 100) or large?

I did not have much info on my drive and yes I was using the web browser.

Hmm, still no joy so back to using my PC and pointing Genie to it to stream my movies. Not ideal but at least that works. It's interesting that Genie says the D7000 doesn't work with Rapidshare. Are others seeing that?
