Night Hawk R7800 Speedtest failure

I recently purchased a new Windows 10 (64) computer and now Qos will not detect bandwidth Speedtest fails. When I run Speedtest off my computer, no problem

Yup. Bust.

Out of interest, do you need it? Or are you just playing around?

QoS is one of those things that is of declining value as internet speeds get higher. Netgear, and others, recommend disabling it for faster connections because it actually hinders a router's operation thanks to the work that goes on inside the box.

Thanks, I thought it might be the firmware, tried reinstalling, as you might have realized that did not help. Will await the firmware update.

Thanks

Re: Night Hawk R7800 Speedtest failure

Mostly playing around, thought it was important, I'll disable. My current Comcast download is 179 Mbps

You are getting into "disable it" territory. At 500 Mbps and above disabling is definitely recommended.

Only turn it on if you experience issues with your on-line activity.
