Night Hawk R9000 issue Samsung S7 edge can connect to wifi, but "internet may not be available"

Hi all, new member to the community. Problem is with Night Hawk X10 R9000.

My mobile Samsung s7 edge is having trouble accessing to internet wirelessly from the R9000. It connects to the wi-fi without any issue but no internet access showing up as "internet may not be available" on the wi-fi menu of my S7 edge. I have a Android tablet and the wifi works fine in it.

After a few days of researching the problem and trying different things to fix it, I am all out of ideas. I can connect to other WIFI outside my home so the problem is with this R9000. I have the latest firmware installed. I have seen older post on the R7000 but am wondering if Netgear has a fiix for this issue?

Which wifi band? 2.4 or 5 GHz?

Which Android version is your phone and tablet using?

Install a network information app on the phone and see if it gets an IP address and DNS server

Routing: NETGEAR R7800 - Voxel Firmware 1.0.2.91.1SF & Kamoj addon
Switching: 2x NETGEAR 8-ports (GS108v4) / 1x NETGEAR 16-ports (JGS516v2)
Desktop: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - Server: Intel Core i7-7700K - NAS: Intel Pentium G4400, 16 TB

It happens on both bands. I am presently using the 2.4 Ghz

The phone is Samsung S7 Edge running Android version 8.0.0

I installed a network app

It does aquire the IP address and the DNS okay.

The Android tablet is Nvidia running Android version 7.0

I read there are problems with NG routers and Android 8. No solution yet and NG is not entirely to blame but also that version of Android is. Sorry, I can't help further
