NightHawk R7000 lag while streaming Spotify

Most anoying,, when streaming Audio from ipad or Iphone (7, 8 and 8)they will be repeat lag or dropouts continual. 

I have not recognized this issue via cable or in other apps, just Spotify.

what CAN I possibly Do to get rid of this anoying dropouts?

What firmware is on the R7000? There's been many versions that have issues. The most agreed upon stable version is the .42 version. Best way to downgrade is to do it over a hardwired connection and to factory reset after the downgrade. If you go that route.

What modem are you connected to? (model?)

Its the latest fw. 

My Nighthawk is connected to a Thompson router (mandatory and No option To change!).

Its fiber, 100/100

Just downgrade,,, but is it an actual known issue, with lag when streaming Spotify via Apple units? (Have not tester Android or Windows units and hav No To test either)

As I experience this issue,, 

when connected To 2,4ghz, The drop outs is more often, than If connected To 5ghz.

What thompson router? is a modem router combo device? Are you running it in passthrough/modem only mode or is it running in router mode too? If they're both in router modem (thompson and netgear), you could be running a double nat which could potentially create this issue.

The thompson is a modem/router combo device. 

If you've got both devices running in router mode, you're in a double nat. 

and not all providers passthrough mode works properly. Try leaving the thompson in router mode (disable its wireless) and switch the R7000 to AP mode and see if that resolves the issue.

My iPad is connected To The Nighthawk, and got the IP adress from The dhcp. Its a different lan from Thompson modem/router,, so... should work?

Your suggestion is To disable Wi-Fi on Thompson?

Here's what I'd try. 

1. put the thompson back in router mode if its in passthrough/modem only mode.

2. disable the wifi on it.

3. place the netgear in AP (access point mode). 

reason why is not all passthrough modes work well on ISP modems. Maybe the thompson isn't. By letting the thomson run the routing function, you leave the netgear just as a wireless access point/switch.
