Nighthawk AC1900 (R7000) as a bridge
After using the AC1900 as a router for a number of years I have updated my system to a Linksys WHWo3 V2 tri-band router and using the AC1900 in bridge mode to act as a wifi receiver with wired connections to two network devices which do not have Wifi connectivity. and to use the usb port for a networked HDD
Everything works fine except that after a period of inactivity (in the order of an hour) the AC1900 loses its connection to the network. The connection can be restored by just switching the AC1900 off, then on again.
I have set the bridge up with a fixed IP addreess (which the network recgnises when it is working), but if I go back to the bridge settings the 'fixed IP address' checkbox is unset and the boxes for the IP address are all blank.
Any thoughts?
