Nighthawk AC1900 R7000

I have a NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 Dual Band WiFi Gigabit Router (R7000).  I have the latest firmware installed on the router; Firmware v1.0.9.88_10.2.8

When my desktop PC is connected directly to the cable modem, a xFi Advanced Gateway ARRIS TG3482G Cable Modem (Comcast XB6); I have speed in excess of 900 Mbps,

However, when I place the cable modem in bridge mode and connect the the Nighthawk R7000 to the cable modem, my desktop PC internet speeds drops from 900 Mbps to 200 Mbps.

I don't understand way there's a 78% drop in speed when using the Nighthawk R7000.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Re: Nighthawk AC1900 R7000

Well, do you have certain features turned on, like QoS or Traffic Meter?

Is this a new setup with a new router or did you have another router before?

On the QoS page, have you run the test for speed? If so, what does it show?

Lastly, did you power off the modem and router and then in sequence with the modem first, power it up and when fully up the router?

Re: Nighthawk AC1900 R7000

In addition to IrvSp said, I'd suggest to downgrade the firmware to .46. Anything above it is a disaster with many complaints (also about removed features)

Routing: NETGEAR R7800 - Voxel Firmware 1.0.2.88SF & Kamoj addon
Switching: 2x NETGEAR 8-ports (GS108v4) / 1x NETGEAR 16-ports (JGS516v2)
Desktop: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - Server: Intel Core i7-7700K - NAS: Intel Pentium G4400 - Cruncher: Intel Core i5-7400

Re: Nighthawk AC1900 R7000

The downgrade/rollback should be to V1.0.9.42. .46 doesn't exist. Instructions and link to it in the instructions:
