Nighthawk D8500 NBN FTTC Setup
Netgear Community
Enviroment:
Nighthawk D8500
Australia
Provider TPG using NBN FTTC (which is VDSL)
The expensive D8500 is running as a Wireless Acess Point connected to a basic DLink which was provided by the ISP
(Archer VR 1600v). Not ideal.
I dont need the VoIP port and would like to run the D8500 as a Modem as Router.
The feedback was that is possible (looking at some forums)
Make sure athentication is on, VLANID is selected =2 and of course WAN via Ethernert is selected.
I heard there is a bug on PPPoE setup and we need to sync:
community.tpg.com.au/t5/NBN-Installation/Netgear-D8500-FTTC-Setup/m-p/70197#M10812
After all that not working. Appreciate any advice you may have.

There have been plenty of reports like yours, so these searchers should get you there.
Search - NETGEAR Communities – D8500 NBN
and then this:
Search - NETGEAR Communities – NBN TPG
If that doesn't work, then here's a good place to start:
