Nighthawk M5 MR5100
The local RSL sub branch has just changed internet providers and now use a Nighthawk M5 router. The previous system had an external antenna with ethernet plug to connect to a router.
Can I plug the ethernet plug from the external antenna into the Nighthawk M5 router, ethernet slot ? It will fit, but I did not know if any damage might occur with wifi signal coming into a plug that might not be meant for it.

Re: Nighthawk M5 MR5100
I don't think that will work. The Ethernet port on the device is for connecting a PC or WiFi router. If you set up the ethernet offloading, the port is needed to connect to your home router's LAN port.
Thanks
