Nighthawk R700 slow connection speeds on cox after changing package
Does anyone have a way to resolve slow download speeds using the Nighthawk r7000?
We recently upgraded our down load package from 100 Mbps to 500 Mbps, and can only achieve speeds of 280-300 Mbps.
All cabling is cat-6 shielded.
We are using the Arris SB8200 cable modem.

Re: Nighthawk R700 slow connection speeds on cox after changing package
are those speeds wired or wireless?
Thats key as you're not going to hit 500mbps over wireless with the R7000.
It will wired.

Re: Nighthawk R700 slow connection speeds on cox after changing package
Even the newest AX routers are just hitting gig speeds over wireless.
And thats if you have a wireless AX device to go with it and are close to it.
My RAX200 and CAX80 only hit gig speeds if I'm within 10-15 feet of them and with nothing obstructing. And thats with a Intel AX210/200 card for testing.
Is there a reason you need wireless gig speed? most services (streaming, gaming, etc) don't need gig speeds. For example, 4k video only needs 20-40mbps to use.
And for devices needing that gig speeds, you should have them hardwired in.
