I have a nighthawk x6 r7850 router and it lately has started to drop the wifi from all devices wven thought it shows as been coonected and not having any issues. I noticed that my firmware is very old so I tried the update through the router directly. It came back saying that the firmware was not the correct for the router. I then went to the netgear website and downloaded the firmware and attempted to do a manual firmware update and it gave me the same error. Could someone provide me with some assistance? My current firmware is 10.0.4.46, the new one I found is 10.0.5.68_10.1.75

What, exactly, did you download? What, exactly, did you do with whatever you downloaded?
"can't" or "attempted" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual, showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or interpretations.
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look for Downloads. (For older versions, under Firmware and Software Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".) Find the kit(s). Download the kit(s) you want. Read the "Release Notes" file for instructions. (In the User Manual, look for "firmware", and, especially, for a topic like "Manually Upload Firmware to the Router".) Same Problem with Nighthawk AC3000 X6 R7850 Router. Will not do auto update. With Netgear tech reset router and attempted updates. Nothing worked. Message from Netgear Support Website...Incorrect firmware, firmware failure...etc. Tried it from Nighthawk app and from hardwire connect to the router. Two hours on the phone with no results. Netgear needs to test their firmware update and make sure it is correct for the R7850 AC3000.... The R7850 is also identified as model number for the AC3200.... Very frustrated
