Nighthawk R7900 connecting two xboxones (best settings)

Hi everyone,  I am tryying to connect my two xboxones to my DM200 modem and Nighthawk X6 R7900 and am looking for the best settings.  I currently am having some trouble with my xboxones running way slower, than they should, buffering netflix, slow connection speed, moderate NAT, and IPV4 instead of IPV6.   Am kinda new to this, any help would be great.

Hi

Try setting the rmodem to bridge mode or modem only. Check page 69 of the manual.

Re: Nighthawk R7900 connecting two xboxones (best settings)

Thanks for the input. I have done that. Have upnp enabled and qos. I have each xbox assigned to a separate 5g signal, however one of my x boxes has a very slow connection 1.5-5mbs, in comparison to 35mbs on the other. I swapped 5g signals between the two and both now have 35mbs. Unfortunately one xbox keeps dropping signal now, as well as my phones and tablets. Any suggestions?

Hi Inmyer33

Try changing the channels of your 5Ghz.

Thanks for the input, ended up switching routers to the x8 8300. Had some similar issues, realized my Astro A50s operate on the same channels as the second 5g, and were causing some issues. Had to shut down the second 5g radio, because I couldn't change the channel outside of the 149-163 spectrum.

I recommend using LAN wired connections for Xbox gaming if possible.

Using IP address reservations ON the router for each xbox.

uPnP should be enabled with out using any Port Forwarding configurations should be able to get OPEN NAT in dash board and in game..
