Nighthawk R7900P will not stay connected to the internet.

My router loses the Internet connection at lease once a day and must be re-booted. The router is connected to a Cable modem. Firmware V1.3.0.10, Windows 10

A couple of questions, what is the cable modem? (Is it a modem/router?)

 

What version of firmware do you have on the R7900P?

Firmware V1.3.0.10, It is a Arris Modum & Router.

You have the latest firmware.

 

As you have a modem/router, you have the possibility of conflicts between your Netgear router and your modem/router. In that case you should either work out how to tell your modem/router to work in modem only (bridge) mode or put your Netgear router into access point (AP) mode.

 

You will have to check the respective manuals for advice on how to do this.
