Nighthawk Router Setup Failure
A few weeks ago my wifi went out, but only on a few devices. I did what I usually do and restart my router/modem. (We often have connectivity issues and this is the only thing that fixes it.) This time; however, I had to completely reset the router because it took almost all day to completely start functioning again.
Since then, our wifi works, but all the usernames and passwords have been reset to the default/factory settings. I have succesfully reset my admin password but when I attempt the full router set up I get to the end and it says that it doesn't work. I continue to get the error message with no other option but to start over. It's a vicious cycle and I don't know what to do! HELP!

Maker? Model number? Firmware version? Connected to what? Any
useful information at all?

How, exactly?

Where, exactly, is "the end"?
> [...] and it says [...]
"it"? What, exactly, "says" what, exactly, how, exactly, when you do
what, exactly?
> [...] that it doesn't work. I continue to get the error message [...]
_Which_ "the error message"?
"not work" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.
> [...] I don't know what to do! [...]
I don't know what you did.
> [...] HELP!
You first?
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number,
and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read. Look for the
LED descriptions and "Troubleshoot".

Re: Nighthawk Router Setup Failure
Wow. Obviously, I'm not smart enough to be on here. You could've just asked me these things a little nicer. No need to be so condescending about it all. I just thought I would give this space a try. Clearly it wasn't the right thing to do. Thanks for being rude.

Re: Nighthawk Router Setup Failure
Oh and by the way, I DID go to the website. I DID READ. I DID put in my actual model number and all of the details. I DID those things. I only posted this because I cannot figure it out by myself with any of those suggestions that were made.

_Where_ did you put them? With my weak psychic powers, I see none of
them.

Strangely, despite that "description", I still can't see what you
did, or what happened when you did it.

As I tried to explain, I can't figure out anything without more
information than "something doesn't work".

Thanks for wasting my time with useless problem non-descriptions.
