Nighthawk X4S 2G stopped working but 5g is fine.
For some reason my 2g has shut off a few months ago. I have been trying to fix it with no luck so far. I have tried factory resetting, modifying the 2g WIFI password and changing the channels in setting, as well as contacting Xfinity for support. Xfinity are the ones that roll out the firmware updates for my router model apparently. But all they told me is to contact Netgear for help. Which I cannot since the warranty is expired. So pretty much stuck here. As far as I know, rolling back my firmware might fix my problem, but I cannot do this through Xfinity which control the updates for my router model. I would just use 5g but I have many devices around my house that cannot connect to 5g networks, like smart plugs and cameras. So really feel stuck here and would appreciate some help.

Is this the C7800 cable modem/router?
You might get better and quicker replies, and find other answers, over in the appropriate section for your device. That's probably here:
Cable Modems & Routers
What does the 2.4 GHz LED on the top show?
If you visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
you can feed in your model number and find the documentation for your hardware.
