OK, downloaded SolarWinds product to my Windows 10 64bit based PC. Tried to delete said software. Software corrupted Windows install changed network settings ,just horrible!
Reinstalled Windows and the router is showing up as a gateway or access point depending on what I do to it. It does not however want to be seen ,according to Windows, as a ROUTER.
The router is set up as router via the Netgear Genie. It was always a router before the SolarWinds software issue.
Really confused @ this point and as a sidebar issue I could no longer access my NAS ;I am assuming because of this issue? Everyone can access the internet via wifi in both bands and I have my PC wired directly to the router and all the conenctions are stable and fast. What changed?

Try enabling SMBv1 in Windows...Windows 10 disabled SMBv1 for older NAS products. MS was supposed to fix this...

OK ! Yes worked like a charm! Unbelievable that Seagate didn't know of this fix! Still have the issue with Windows 10 not recognizing the router as a router however! Now to convert 8 GB of family videos and pictures and documents to their actual names after I ran the recovery in my NAS! 298000 files to rename! Regardless thank you so freakin much ! Just Godsmacked that it was such a simple fix
