Nighthawk X6 AC3200 R8000 - Mesh Network Setup
I am sorta new to all this stuff. I have 3 Nighthawk AC3200 X6 routers. I have one that is connected to ethernet. I would like to use 2 of the others as extenders without having to run a LAN cable to create a MESH network is this possible?
I dont think it is but I am looking for validation on my thought process.

Re: Nighthawk X6 AC3200 R8000 - Mesh Network Setup
The R8000 doesnt' have extender/repeater mode.
And they're not "mesh" routers.
You could run cables, connect them with powerline, or even using moca adapters and then run them in AP (access point) mode. but even if you set them with the same ssid as the primary router, they wouldn't roam like a mesh setup as they'd be "sticky". Meaning they'd retain their connection to the router the originally connected to until the signal degraded enough they wouldn't connect.
