Nighthawk X6 R8000 Cant get it online

Hi all hope someone with some knowlage can help,

My isp is with plusnet and i found the hubone struggling with wifi so idecided to purchase the R8000 and a draytek 130 as a modem.

Insalled the modem plugged in the hubone and all fine right out of the box, i then dissconected the draytek and the onehub, then plugged the 130 back in and connected the R8000 plusnet requires the user and password pppoe so filled that in in the R8000 and no internet after resetting both draytec and r8000 the draytec will not give me a ip address sub net etc.

Both the r8000 and the draytec were purchased new and updated before useing.

Have spent about 5 hrs on this and i'm ready with the big hammer.....

I have tried support and after waiting 55 mins i nearly lost the lust for life and gave up.

I'm not tech minded so can any one help PLEASE...

You have been swapping stuff in and out of the network. You really need to boot the network in the right order.


Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:


  • Turn off and unplug the modem.
  • Turn off the modem router and computers.
  • Plug in the modem and turn it on. Wait 2 minutes.
  • Turn on the modem router and wait 2 minutes.
  • Turn on the computers.

It isn't clear if you did this.
