Nighthawk app, speed test

We recently upgraded our residential service to 1 Gbps broadband and purchased an AX6000. The router seems to be operating fine, but the Nighthawk app is reported a broadband speed from our ISP (xFinity) of only 450-500 Mbps. After many calls to xFinity, they claim that the problem is inside the house, but the app keeps reporting a download speed far below 1 Gbps. Is there a way to get the app (or the admin panel) to report the address of the server that the router is pinging for this speed test? This will help to validate our complaint with our ISP. Thank you! (Also, why doesn't our model number appear in the list at the top of this discussion tool?)

There is no way to show the test server the app or Web UI is using. I suggest to use a browser and go to a speed test site and do there the testing. Forget the app

Possibly because AX6000 is not a model number. (Check the label again.) It is a wifi speed indicator.

It could be one of several "RAX" models.

RAX80 and RAX120 are the two most obvious candidates. (See "Model" on this message.)

Another reason why it may not show is that you have picked the wrong bit of this community for your message. You have posted your message in the section of this community given over to Nighthawk WiFi Routers. (This is easily done, given Netgear's complicated community structure.)

Many questions apply to different types of device, so there may be useful responses here, but you might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

Nighthawk Routers with WiFi 6 (AX) - NETGEAR Communities

But that's just a wild guess based on incomplete information from you.

What speed do you get out of the Internet before the router?

What is the modem, or whatever it is, that sits in front of the router?
