Nighthawk "good" connection
Hello I am new and serach for my issue but did not find it.
I have a Nighthawk AC2300 Smart WiFi Router, Model R7000P. I udgraded last April and did see improvement in my connection over a N300 router. But I have also noticed that I alwayr get a "Good" connection on the meter when I do a scann. This is over both wired and wireless devices running speed test. I am not an IT or network expert but I understand the basics. So with the router on the same floor from where I am testing it, seems like I should see a better signal than just "good".
When I scann I see other networks are very good, that are somewhere out in the neighborhood.
My typical test speeds are Download 135.4Mbps and Upload 14.6 Mbps. Not sure how this is rated, but seems fast, but my scann always calls my speed good.
Re: Nighthawk "good" connection
Lots of environmental factors enter into wireless connectivity. Wall matterial is one. My house walls are wet plaster over metal lath so going through two layers of that for each wall between router and client for example. Lots of other things factor in. How many other wireless networks are around and strengh of them. On and on.
