Nighthawk r7000 not showing as a lan device on gateway
I have a ATT DSL Gateway Model No 7550. I have contacted them already. No use. When I first bought my R7000, it worked flawlessly out of the box. Connectivity was great, no issues. Well after a while, the internet connection would randomly drop and you could not access the internet for a bit. Well now the gateway does not want to recognize that the r7000 is connected via ethernet. I have tried most things under the sun and would appreciate any help. I can give more technical information as needed.

I also faced the issue but I restarted then it got fixed.

A double nat happens when you cascade more than 1 router. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT Fixes? There’s 3 options but only use 1. 1. Put the modem/gateway in modem only/pass through mode. This disables its routing functions. 2. Leave the modem/gateway in router mode but put the Netgears IP address into its DMZ. This forwards the data to the netgear. You can either leave the modem/gateway’s wireless enabled or disabled. Just make sure its using a different wifi channel to prevent interference 3. Put the Netgear into access point mode. This disables its routing functions. I figured it out! My WAN port is actually malfunctioned and just doesnt work. I installed asuswrt-merlin and set the LAN ethernet port 1 as the primary WAN port and it worked! I did put a ticket in to get another router so hopefully this is just a temporary fix.
