The red light on this router won’t go out. I have changed cables, unplugged, reset, turned everything off then on. Ran troubleshooting in netgear app, said the router was working, its not. No matter what I do the red light wont go off. This all started after a Comcast outage last week. They said my modem is fine and the Comcast side is ok. This rout was very expensive and only about 3 years old. The cost to call support just to answer this question I can buy a new router. Help.

you may want to try mac cloning see if that will get the router working with the modem.

_Which_ "The red light" is it? "red" or amber? Visit
http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Look for "LED".

Guess nobody really reads these questions. Big red clue. RED LIGHT at INTERNET ICON on nighthawk won’t go out.
all these solutions are for a working product. Took it into Best Buy had it tested, red light constant on internet icon means it’s DEAD, done deal. No fix around.
