No internet light / ethernet ports showing amber light
Initially when I set it up I was getting internet via the router on wifi to my phone. Then I tried connecting my android tv box with Ethernet cable but there was no connection, nothing on the box works. There is a amber color light for that port. Did I waste money buying this product?
Re: No internet light / ethernet ports showing amber light
I just purchased this ac1750 v3 router and it's not working.
ac1750 is not a reliable guide to model number. Many devices come with an AC tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and other brands, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.
I have 75mbps and only getting 62 from my ISP modem.
It might help if you said what the modem is. Is it also a router with as set of LAN ports?
There is a amber color light for that port.
This is a sign that the LAN device connected to that port is limited to 100 Mbps. It will change colour (to green or white depending on your unknown router) if you connect a device that does 1000 Mbps.
My network DM200 -> R7800 -> GS316 -> PL1000 -> Orbi RBR40 -> Orbi RBS50Y -> RBS40V
