The chat person asked for, then had another person call my phone, I gave him access to my computer, then he immediately told me i was in danger and pushed for me to purchase security computer network services. I was only calling for help with my wifi extender i just purchased. He would not release control and get off my computer.

Hello kirbySr,
We're sorry to hear about you've experienced. I'd like to assist with your NETGEAR product concerns along with ensuring you are provided service from an authorized NETGEAR support agent. I have sent you a message requesting for more information. Furthermore, I have also included a KB article on how to open a support case with our support team.
