OpenDNS and Port 53 Blocking

Hey,

I'm trying to go ahead and block port 53 so that no one can bypass the openDNS settings. I will be purchasing a NightHawk router, and plan on following this guide.

My question is: is this guide recent as to how I will go ahead and block port 53? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsfWjR9xQpk

I had this done my D-Link but my d-link has really horrible range and therefore I will be making the switch to the NightHawk.

I know I can change the DNS settings to route them to OPENDNS servers (208.67.222.222) but was just wondering if blocking port 53 would be a complicated process or if the guide would work.

And you can block port 53 on the Nighthawk just like the video describes. I'm a little surprised that this doesn't break all DNS.
