PLEX on R9000 x10 vs. QNAP TS-831x - which to use?
I have the TS-831x connected directly to the Nighthawk X10 with an SFP+ cable, which works fine btw and required no specific setup. Just wondering if anyone has a recommendation as to whether I should use the Plex on the router or, alternatively, Plex on the QNAP. My main objective is to maximize overall performance. Any advice or experience would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Would be nice to see it running from the NAS, as running it from USB does not work with 4K streams, even thought its advertised as doing so.

Re: PLEX on R9000 x10 vs. QNAP TS-831x - which to use?
Either way I would be using the SFP+ port to connect to the content. If PLEX on my router, I understand I must have a USB drive plugged in to initiate the PLEX but believe I can point the PLEX to the SFP+ port for the content. Doesn't this change the dynamics of what the router can do (since its pulling content from the NAS via SFP+ vs. pulling content from an USB drive)? Thanks.
