Plex Media NAS network connection losses connection

I keep lossing my NAS network drive connection attached to the plex server and I have to edit the connection and reset it

After further research it appears this happened after a automatic firmware update was performed. As such , I have disabled the auto firmware update.

That's nice, but not very helpful. Did you revert to some older
firmware version after you disabled automatic updates? If the firmware
version actually matters, then a _useful_ problem/solution report would
mention the actual firmware version(s) which worked and/or failed.

I did not change to a different firmware and the current version is 1.0.4.2 I do alot of traveling and it's important to me that I have access to the plex media server everywhere I go. As such, I want to be in control of the updates whenever I am local so that I can fix things if they get broken. It's amazing to me that Netgear can't assure me that Firmware Automatic updates won't break things.
